Blue Cross and Blue Shield Duke/Carolina Visiting Geriatric Professorship

This six year grant was designed to further attention on the importance of geriatric nursing research and practice in ways that will benefit patients, providers, and health care leaders. With support from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina the faculties of both Schools of Nursing come together in a joint session with the Visiting Professor to discuss issues related to geriatric nursing research, practice and service. In addition the Visiting Professor provides consultations to our health systems’ partners, and offers a public lectureship in honor of Dr. Carol Hogue, a distinguished geriatric nursing leader who is affiliated with both Duke University and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Schools of Nursing.
