Yes, but don’t send in fall 2016 transcripts later than January 15th, 2017.
  • If you’re a current UNC-Chapel Hill student, email sonapp@unc.edu to check the status of your transcripts.
  • If you’re not a current UNC-Chapel Hill student, check the status of your transcripts by logging into http://my.unc.edu. Given the volume of transcripts the Office of Undergraduate Admissions receives each week, please use this method to check your progress until January 15, after which you may contact the Office directly at unchelp@admissions.unc.edu or 919-966-3621.
  • Simply copy and paste or take a screenshot of your Spring 2017 courses and email it to sonapp@unc.edu. Let us know of any changes to your Spring 2017 schedule, as well, by emailing sonapp@unc.edu.
  • You should fulfill each General Education requirement and each nursing science prerequisite. A single course can fulfill multiple requirements. Your fulfillment of course requirements will be verified by our review of your transcripts.
  • If you’re using test credit from SAT/ACT/AP to fulfill one of the prerequisite requirements, then you need to submit these scores. If you’re not using them for this purpose, you don’t need to submit them.
  • No. Your SAT/ACT/AP scores are in the system from when you first applied to UNC-CH. You do not need to re-submit them.
  • Yes. We can see the courses you’ve received placement test credit for. When completing the prerequisite courses section of the application, indicate that you received placement test credit for the course(s).

  • If you’re a current UNC-CH undergraduate, or if you earned a bachelor’s degree from UNC, you don’t need to submit a high school transcript.
  • If you’re NOT a current undergraduate, you do need to submit an official high school transcript no matter what. This is a University requirement! Sent it to:
