Accelerated BSN Program Information & Questions
May 8, 2007

Question: Do you think you all will start accepting applicants for fall admission into either the 24 month program or the accelerated program in the near future?
Answer: Yes, applicants are considered twice a year in both programs.

Question: Hi, I was wondering what is the likelihood of someone getting accepted into the accelerated program with a GPA lower than a 3.0 from their previous degree, and a 4.0 GPA from their prerequisites at a community college?
Answer: It depends, we are interested in whether you have all the prerequisites satisfied. As you may know, the program is very competitive.

Question: When would the January admits graduate?
Answer: It appears graduation would be December 2008. For more specific information, you may contact Anna Terry who coordinates the accelerated program. The first thing to do is request a transcript evaluation to determine where you are in terms of prerequisites.

Question: Would someone who has experience as a CNA and a not so good GPA, say a 2.9, have a better chance of getting in than someone who isn't certified but with a, say, 3.5 GPA?
Answer: It's difficult to say... Generally it takes a 3.0 or better to be in a competitive range. The Committee on Admission will have access that you have experience as a CNA.

If you have any specific questions not answered in the transcripts, please contact Anna Terry.
