STUDENTS interested in NURSING!

We have scheduled BSN Information Sessions for both the Accelerated (4-term, second-degree) and BSN (6=term, first- and second-degree) options for prospective nursing applicants. We plan on these being informal sessions with a short introduction by the Office of Admissions and Student Services and then an opportunity for prospects to ask questions and talk with current students. Please view the narrated slide presentation and bring any questions you may have to the session. Our goal is to dispel myths of the admissions process, talk honestly about the rigors of nursing school, and answer questions in a non-intimidating setting. Light refreshments available.

What is an Information Session?

An Information Session is an informal discussion focused on a specific degree program or programmatic option offered by the School. The primary purpose of Information Sessions is to provide information in greater detail than is currently available in our recruitment materials. Program faculty and staff from the Office of Admissions and Student Services lead participants in an overview of the program, requirements for admission, application process, planned curriculum, and student aid. Individual consultation with faculty or staff is available at the conclusion of each session.

Sessions are scheduled in proximity to the fall and spring application deadlines. Most sessions are held in the School of Nursing, affording participants unfamiliar with the School the opportunity to tour the building following the discussion. Sessions are held in the early evening to ease parking constraints.
