Nursing as a Career: Endless Possibilities and Many Rewards

Nursing Can Help You Achieve Your Goals

The first step in planning a career is to make a list of your goals so that you can assess how well a potential career path will help you achieve those goals. The list might include situations that you wish to avoid, such as sitting at a desk constantly, as well as things you hope to achieve. Your list of goals should be based upon your own unique needs and circumstances, and it will probably be different from that of anyone else you know. It's also very likely that your goals today will be different from your goals five or ten years from now. For instance, some people start out with the goal of making as much money as possible, but they eventually decide that it's more important to them to be appreciated or to help others. Therefore, it is often a good idea to consider careers that have the potential to satisfy several different goals.
