3. Decide which career best matches your goals, interests and skills.

While we have all had encounters with nurses throughout our lives, nursing has not always been portrayed very accurately in books, movies, and television shows. For many people, it is not until they've had significant exposure to the health care setting that they learn what nursing is all about. The career of nursing often appeals to those who have been exposed to it because it satisfies many common goals and appeals to a wide variety of interests.
