The UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing promotes a school-wide environment that embraces diversity. We have received a three year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through its Health Resources and Services Agency (HRSA) “. . . to substantially increase the numbers of both culturally competent and ethically diverse BSN graduates . . .” Our target group includes students from under-represented ethnic and minority groups, ‘first-generation’ college students, and those who permanently reside in medically underserved geographic areas.
