At the end of this program the participants will be able to:

  • Describe common approaches to the treatment of childhood cancer
  • Consider common health and developmental challenges that AYA survivors can face following curative therapies
  • Discuss elements of the Survivorship Care Plan, and how such a plan can be developed and used to guide monitoring and health education for AYA childhood cancer survivors.

Audience: Nurses and other health professionals, especially those in community-based primary care settings, with adolescents and young adults who have been treated for cancer
