This workshop will present a research-based approach to intervening with women with HIV to help them understand and manage their health within the context of HIV. This secondary prevention model involves teaching support information within a therapeutic relationship with the woman.
    At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
  • Discuss recent practice-related research findings related to HIV interventions for women.
  • Identify strategies to help women with HIV manage symptoms.
  • Discuss ways to engage women in a therapeutic relationship to enhance teaching/learning.
