In this program the process of clinical evaluation in nursing is explored. Differences between formative and summative evaluation are discussed as they relate to clinical evaluation. Multiple strategies for evaluating clinical outcomes and competencies are described with examples of each. These strategies can be used in any clinical nursing course and in post clinical conferences. Come to this program to get some new ideas about how to evaluate your students in the clinical setting. At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
