In Fall 2014, the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing will seek initial accreditation of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Post Master’s Certificate programs from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). CCNE, which is a national nursing accrediting organization and recognized by the US Secretary of Education, will perform an onsite evaluation of the DNP program and Post Masters Certificate programs on October 6-8, 2014. As members of the School’s constituency and community of interest, we invite you to submit comments to CCNE at the address provided below.

We hope you will take this opportunity to comment on the School’s development and implementation of the DNP related to accreditation standards (see http://www.aacn.nche.edu/ccne-accreditation). During the review of the program, the evaluation team considers third party comments that relate to the accreditation standards. CCNE does not share these comments with the organization. Only signed comments will be accepted by CCNE. For comments to be considered they should be received by September 6, 2014.
