Carrington 308
Andrea
completed her undergraduate degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI)
in 2002, majoring in Electronic Media, Arts & Communication. Her specialty is
web and graphic design, but she dabbles in print design and IT support when the
opportunity allows. Andrea is the primary Blackboard contact for CITES, assisting
in online course development and organization. A first-time homeowner, Andrea
enjoys most things domestic, cheering on the Tar Heels, traveling, spending time with family and friends, photography, and enjoying her semi-recent newlywed status.
Robert Gringle, Instructional Design Coordinator
966-3601 | rgringle@email.unc.edu | Carrington

Robert’s professional career has primarily focused on various communication aspects of health promotion, education, and disease control and prevention domestically and throughout the developing world. He served as Duke University’s Assistant Director of Student Health, and developed Duke’s first health education program targeting students. Subsequently, Robert has worked with several international health organizations on developing and disseminating health care and disease control/prevention materials and training modules for programs focusing on women’s reproductive health, adolescent sexuality, and endemic developing world health problems, including HIV/AIDS, malaria, and TB. Robert completed his undergraduate work in his native Wisconsin and his graduate work in North Carolina, first in English literature and then with a master’s degree in education from UNC-CH. Although Robert considers himself a voracious reader, he is just as likely to be found watching college sports or Green Bay Packer football, listening to an eclectic mix of music at his Durham home, or tromping around the Blue Ridge Mountains near the New River.
