The idea arose from the UG Governance Council who had received increasing student complaints/concerns about email boxes cluttered with non-academic messages. The Council requested an alternative space for sharing certain kinds of "community" information through a mechanism other than email. After consultation with the SON IIT Dept, the StudentNEWS site was developed to host announcements, job notices, housing/roommate opportunities, student life announcements, etc.
PLEASE send any news item you wish to share with fellow students to the Office of Admissions and Student Services staff for posting. Be sure to include all pertinent details and contact information.
