Academic Eligibility Regulations
Graduate Students
A graduate student becomes academically ineligible
to continue in the Graduate School if s/he receives any grade
of F or receives nine or more credit hours of L. Students
who become academically ineligible will have their registration
automatically cancelled by the Graduate School. When special
circumstances warrant, students made ineligible may be reinstated
by petitioning the Graduate School. Each petition (submit
an Application for Reinstatement) must be accompanied by a
statement of endorsement or non-endorsement from the appropriate
program director at the School of Nursing. Graduate students
made ineligible should contact the appropriate program director
at the School of Nursing for information regarding the petition
process. After reinstatement, any subsequent grade below P
will result in the student's ineligibility.
Incomplete Grades
A grade of incomplete (IN) will be changed automatically
to an F if the IN is not removed within 12 months. The student
is then academically ineligible to continue studies and must
seek reinstatement to the Graduate School and the School of
Nursing through the Office of Academic Affairs.
Continuing Education Students
A postmaster's student will be unable to proceed in their
program of study if he or she receives a grade of F, or if
he or she receives a grade of L in more than 20% of the total
credits in the student's plan of study.
