Frequently Asked Questions

How much clinical is involved?

There is one clinical course in the program. Three of the six credits in N494, Community Health Nursing, are clinical credits. This course, like the rest of the program, is designed to build on rather than repeat experiences in your basic nursing program. You will work with a preceptor at a community health setting in your home community. There are a wide variety of community health agencies available. You may request to focus on a particular health problem like HIV/AIDS or a type of community health practice like occupational health, or you may request an agency which offers a variety of experiences.
