The Program

Expected Costs

Carolina RN/BSN is affordable. Many online RN/BSN programs are quite expensive, but at Carolina you don't have to pay a high price for the convenience of studying online. Students studying online pay approximately the same tuition as students studying on campus.

Cost Information

NC Resident
$117 per credit hour
$32 registration fee

Non-Resident
$234 per credit
$32 registration fee

Both residents and non-residents pay an additional $170 clinical fee in each of these courses: Nursing 369 and Nursing 494.

Tuition rates are determined by the NC General Assembly, and are therefore subject to change.

A document with tuition costs for the various BSN options, including the RN-BSN program is available HERE.

Earning your BSN online does require convenient access to appropriate hardware and software. You may need to buy or upgrade equipment to meet the technical requirements for Carolina RN/BSN Online. The good news is that, as a Carolina student, you can save money by purchasing equipment through the Carolina Computing Initiative.
