7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Hampton Inn & Suites Carrboro/Chapel Hill

Leadership is about relationships – the interpersonal dynamics and behaviors that inspire and motivate your team to achieve their highest potential to further the goals of your organization. This year’s Excellence in Leadership Conference is designed to teach healthcare leaders at all levels to create effective workplace relationships by learning to recognize what a team needs from you, and how to meet their needs.

This one-day program will help new and experienced leaders to develop high-quality relationships with key members of the organization, including those you supervise, your supervisor, your peers, and collaborators. Our outstanding line-up of keynote speakers are all leaders at the top of their fields, and dynamic presenters who will teach you strategies to maximize your leadership strengths and develop effective leadership behaviors.

Over the course of the day, you will apply models of leadership to empower individuals and incentivize teamwork, recognize and address conflicts, bullying, and incivility in the workplace, and practice conducting difficult conversations. You will also learn about time management strategies, and acquire practical tools to create a balanced career and personal life.
