The School of Nursing Global Health initiatives seek to foster faculty and student engagement in advancing scholarship globally. To achieve our vision and mission we seek to provide resources for investing in strategic locations for long term relationships in sustained engagement to meet the needs of each academic program. We support the School of Nursing mission statement in achieving our global responsibilities:
Educating future generations of nurses to be bridges across language and culture. Discovering new knowledge and strategies to improve the health of people globally. Innovating opportunities for faculty, staff and students to strengthen nursing practice and research worldwide. Serving local, national and global communities through cross-cultural partnerships for health.
We seek to instill a world view among students and faculty for working among diverse populations to conceptualize a world without borders where all are global citizens.
The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs has responsibilities for SON global health initiatives and works with faculty, students, and staff in advancing globalization across the mission areas of the school.
