To Apply to the Program

  1. Submit the completed Student Application Form.
  2. Submit written essays.
  3. Submit official high school transcripts.
  4. Submit the completed School Recommendation Form.
  5. Submit a nonrefundable $10 application fee. (personal or certified check, money order)
  6. Submit Scholarship Application Form and Scholarship Application - Counselor Verification Form (if applying for scholarship support).

The above items must be completed and postmarked by March 31st, 2008. If all items are not submitted, the application cannot be processed. If you are applying for a scholarship the required application fee will be waived until scholarship award decisions have been made.

Make check payable to UNC-Chapel Hill, School of Nursing. Returned checks will be charged a $25 service charge.

Send application, written essays, School Recommendation Form(in sealed envelope), $10 application fee and/or scholarship request forms in one packet to :

Applicants Will be Accepted Based on the Following

  • GPA - must have minimum 3.0 on 4.0 scale
  • Quality of written essays (content and writing ability are important).
  • Statewide representation.
  • Enrollment is limited to approximately 30 students. Upon notification of acceptance, you will receive more detailed program information.
  • If you are accepted and find you cannot attend, please notify us immediately so that someone on the wait list may be offered admission. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing and are subject to a $50 overhead fee.
Program fee ($300) is due in full by June 6th, 2008. Personal or certified checks, money orders are accepted.

Wait List

Qualified students not accepted due to space limitations will be placed on a wait list.
