Join Us This Summer ...

If you will be in the 11th or 12th grade in North Carolina next school year and are considering nursing as a possible career. Program sponsors have joined together to provide you a wide range of opportunities to see first-hand what nurses do in a variety of health care settings. If you are interested in a career that offers intellectual challenge, flexibility, and financial incentive, come see what nursing is all about!

The tuition of $300 per participant includes all instructional materials, lodging and meals from Sunday evening, June 15th through Friday afternoon, June 20th, 2008.

Your Experiences Will Include

IN AREA HEALTHCARE AGENCIES

  • Paired experiences with nurses in various hospitals and comunity settings
  • Special learning sessions with high-tech equipment
IN AREA SCHOOLS OF NURSING
  • Skills lab experiences - including blood pressure monitoring and injection preparation
  • Discussions with nursing students and faculty
TEAM BUILDING

Participate in a variety of safe, fun and enriching opportunities to :
  • Build a sense of community
  • Increase self-confidence
  • Recognize and develop leadership abilities
  • Have FUN
ON CAMPUS
  • Dormitory living and meals in campus dining halls
  • Opportunities to tour UNC-Chapel Hill


Lodging and Meals

You will stay in a double room in a University Residence Hall on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill. Meals will be provided in University dining halls and in facilities at other participating institutions.
