Mission Statement

The mission of Nursing Exploration Week is to increase the number of individuals entering the nursing profession. This mission is accomplished through the provision of a residentially-based, immersion experience competitively offered to North Carolina high school students interested in pursuing a career in nursing.

• enhance participants' knowledge of educational options for nursing preparation
• expose participants to diverse clinical experiences, and
• facilitate interaction with clinical nurses who function in a myriad of roles in a variety of practice settings
