A. MINDWARE TECHNOLOGIES

MindWare’s line of ambulatory and wireless monitoring solutions are flexible to meet your most demanding research needs. There are four different ambulatory monitoring instruments for such measures as ECG, EMG, EEG, EOG, skin conductance (GSC), impedance cardiography, goniometers, accelerometers, and other transducers. The MindWare BioNex line provides a flexible, upgradeable, powerful and easy to use system for all your laboratory data acquisition needs. The BioNex line has two different mainframes, a 2 slot and an 8 slot unit that are capable of up to 8 and 32 configurable channels respectively. They are customizable with any of the six signal conditioning and two audio/video modules for synchronized audio/video collection. MindWare’s BioLab acquisition and analysis application seamlessly integrates everything to give you the “total picture” on multiple or single subject studies in psychology, behavior, and biomechanics applications.

This product was designed by MindWare to be the workhorse of most laboratories. It contains 8 user configurable slots providing up to 32 channels of custom signal conditioning. These slots can be configured using any combination of the six available BioNex modules. It also supports high speed data acquisition, simultaneous digital input / output, stimulus generation, and flexible triggering options.

MindWare MW1000A Ambulatory Impedance Cardiograph

The MindWare MW1000A Ambulatory Impedance Cardiograph brings laboratory impedance cardiograph measurement quality to the field. This small battery-powered instrument combines the power of PDA- based data acquisition with precision electronics. It is ideal for studies that require monitoring of sympathetic, parasympathetic, and cardiac function. The MW1000A is small enough to be worn comfortably on a belt and is housed in a semi-rugged case. The MW1000A injects a high precision frequency constant current of 400 micro amps which allows measurement of the impedance changes across the thorax. The precision electronics then condition and output four continuous signals impedance (Z0), its derivative (dZ/dt), Electrocardiogram (ECG), and a Galvanic Skin Conductance (GSC) that are digitized by the high resolution A/D card. Data can be streamed to local storage on the PDA (2GB SD) or transmitted via Wi-Fi to a host PC using a wireless router and MindWare’s BioLab acquisition software. This data can then be analyzed with MindWare’s powerful suite of analysis applications.

B. BIOPAC MP150 DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM

MP Systems are a powerful, flexible tool for your research needs. Each MP System provides high resolution (16 bit), variable sample rates for analog and calculation channels, 16 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs, digital I/O lines (automatically control other TTL level equipment), and 16 on-line calculation channels. Plus, with the MP150System, you get high-speed acquisition (400 kHz aggregate), Ethernet connectivity, and the ability to view and control systems across a network. The AcqKnowledge software included with each MP System is an interactive, intuitive program that lets you instantly view, measure, analyze and transform data. Perform complex data acquisition, triggering and analyses using simple pull-down menus and dialogs–no need to learn a programming language or new protocol.Used to measure skinfolds, the data is entered into various regression prediction equations to estimate percent body fat.

C. LABVIEW DAQ STARTER KIT
This software package uses the concept of computer generated virtual instruments to simulate how signals are obtained by physiological sensors, conditioned to remove extraneous signal and how to select portion of the signal to measure and describe physiologic responses. Instead of writing these complex programs, the software uses a graphic oriented computer language (icons/schematics) to create the instrument and show how components of this instrument influence the display of the data. Advanced users can also use this system to develop computer simulation of physiologic systems and develop models to test hypotheses of biological responses.

D. WINDAQ DI-720 ANALOG TO DIGITAL CONVERTER
The Dataq DI-720 A/D converter is an instrument that offers 16-bit, 250kHz waveform recording capability. It communicates through your PC’s parallel port in EPP, bi-directional, or standard mode. Other optional communication interfaces include USB and Ethernet. Use the DI-720 for general-purpose applications where preamplified signals are acquired. Examples include process monitoring, and a variety of medical research applications.

E. WINDAQ WAVEFORM ACQUISITION AND ANALYSIS SOFTWARE
This fourth generation software upgrade of the Videograph II stores up to 32 channels of analog signals. It also comes with a laptop version that can be used for on-site data collection and storage. It uses a Windows environment, so that you could analyze and acquire data at the same time.
