Kudos to Assistant Professor Louise Fleming, PhD, RN, who was recently elected to the Board of Trustees for the Cares Foundation, a national foundation that aims to lead in the effort to improve the lives of the Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia community and seeks to advance quality health care through support, advocacy, education and research.

Fleming will serve a three-year term and will be assisting with community outreach, developing additional educational tools for families, and helping with the evaluative process associated with the four CAH Comprehensive Care Centers.

The Cares Foundation reaches out to families and individuals with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), an orphan condition that is historically under served, supported and funded. CARES also strives to increase the awareness of CAH within the healthcare community.
