SON Well Represented at NCNA DNP Council Meeting

The NCNA DNP Council Annual Meeting and Continuing Education was a great success with DNP programs represented from across the state.  The theme for the 2016 CEU was “Evidenced-based Translational DNP Projects that  “Stuck” or will “Stick” – Making an Impact on Health Outcomes and Nursing Leadership.” Dr. Jean Davison chaired the planning committee for the event. The SON was well-represented with faculty presenters Dr. Jean Davison and Dr. Tom Bush.
SON DNP student presenters and DNP projects were:
Lunise Benjamin – Results of a Demographic Health Assessment Survey Presented to Haitian Immigrants Living in Central North Carolina
John Conors – Improving Provider Communication with Vaccine Hesitant Parents
Cameron Phillips – Evaluation of the Modified Early Warning Score (MEWS) Screening Tool for Physiological Signs of Sepsis in the Emergency Department
