SON Partners with Lineberger Cancer Center to Launch Susan D. Flynn Oncology Nursing Fellowship Program

In partnership with the N.C. Cancer Hospital, the fellowship program will immerse undergraduate nursing students in applied oncology training.

UNC-Chapel Hill’s first Susan D. Flynn Oncology Nursing Fellows have begun a six-week immersive program intended to stimulate the career interest and professional development of potential oncology nurses. Austin Cole and Morgan Reddick, both undergraduate students at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing, comprise the inaugural fellowship class.

Mooney, Katie Kathleen Mooney, PhD, RN, FAAN

The School of Nursing and The Office of Research Support and Consultation invite you to hear from visiting scholar Kathleen Mooney, PhD, RN, FAAN.

Dr. Mooney is a Professor and the Louis S. Peery and Janet B. Peery Presidential Endowed Chair in Nursing at the University of Utah’s College of Nursing. Her research interests include cancer symptom management and outcomes of supportive care. She has published numerous book chapters and journal articles, and is a frequent speaker on topics related to cancer symptom management, quality cancer care, oncology nursing, and leadership.
