Dr. Yamnia Cortés’ paper, Associations of endogenous sex hormones with carotid plaque burden and characteristics in midlife women, which previously appeared in The Journal Of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, has been selected for a thematic issue of Endocrine Society on Cardiovascular Endocrinology. Recognized due to its high Altmetric Attention Score and Featured Article designations, the journal referred to Cortés’ work as “cutting-edge, influential contributions to the endocrine community”.
