Assistant Professor Yamnia I. Cortés, PhD, MPH, FNP, was among the authors of Pregnancy-related events associated with subclinical cardiovascular disease burden in late midlife: SWAN, an article recently published in Atherosclerosis.

This work in the Study of Women’s Health Across the Nation (SWAN) highlighted that pregnancy history is an important marker of subclinical cardiovascular disease in late midlife women and may impact the vasculature through distinct pathways.
