Dr. Linda Beeber is an ANCC-certified psychiatric mental health advanced practice nurse and a nurse scientist conducting intervention research focused on home-based mental health care to reduce depression with exceptionally high-risk populations of mothers who have infants and toddlers (0-3 year-olds).

With her research team, she has exposed the contextual and etiological factors that create risks for the development of maternal depressive symptoms and disrupted mother-child interactions and shown the impact that tailored intervention can have on the mother and the child. Dr. Beeber and her team have conducted individual randomized controlled trials, and merged longitudinal data across multiple trials to analyze for larger patterns such as health service usage, cost, vulnerability factors affecting health, and community contexts that create health risks.

She is currently working on several national projects to scale up and integrate depression screening and intervention into national maternal-child focused entities such as the Nurse Family Partnership, Healthy Families America, Parents As Teachers, and the federally-funded Early Intervention system for infants and toddlers with disabilities and developmental delays.
