Vulnerable populations often lack access to basic care. The Carrboro Community Health Center is working to bridge that gap for community members by providing medical and dental care as well as access to a pharmacy. The center also plays a role in patient education by offering classes in diabetes management.
Assistant professor Andrea Mulholland precepts FNP students who are interested in working with vulnerable populations in the Carrboro community. She is an advanced practice nurse with experience providing healthcare services in a community health setting.
