SWW-IMPACTS (Improving and Accelerating Cancer Prevention, Treatment, and Survivorship) is a CDC-funded initiative designed to strengthen the capacity of National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (NCCCP) sites to implement, adapt, and sustain evidence-based cancer prevention and control interventions. Building on the 2023–2024 Scaling What Works pilot, this project uses an implementation science–informed, multi-modal capacity-building approach, including training, technical assistance, tools, and a national community of practice, to support NCCCP sites in scaling CDC-identified interventions. The project also evaluates which capacity-building strategies are most effective for improving practitioner capacity and evidence-based intervention planning, with the long-term goal of strengthening sustainable cancer prevention, treatment, and survivorship infrastructure nationwide.
