Maureen Kelly | UNC Health: Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinic
My work keeps me up to date with pediatrics and gives me examples to use in the classroom.
Maureen Kelly, MS, RN, CPNP
For professors at the UNC School of Nursing, learning and teaching never stop. Pediatric nurse practitioner and assistant professor Maureen Kelly currently practices at the pediatric gastroenterology unit at the UNC Health Hospital Children’s Special Clinic, where she works with undergraduate students and oversees Master’s practicums with the GI team.
In addition to providing high-quality care to patients and guidance for young medical staff, Kelly recently started a health maintenance clinic for adolescents with inflammatory bowel disease. Kelly’s many other duties include participating on committees, improving the quality of patient care, overseeing administrative matters for NPs and nurses and participating in all levels of hiring.
