I am incredibly grateful for Lisa’s patience, thoughtfulness, and resilience during this time. She not only made herself available for in-person meetings but also supported questions, concerns, and helped problem-solve with us. Most importantly, she encouraged us to be positive and flexible, and I am thankful for her leadership in this transition.

Thank you for all your help and knowledge during this move, and your calm presence.

I cannot remember how many times I emailed or called Lisa and Phillip out of panic because I needed to arrange for my whole research team to access both Carrington Hall and ITS Manning Building for the BBL and all kinds of team meetings during the transition period. Each time, Lisa and Phillip assisted me with a calm and confident attitude and provided immediate help so I, my team, and my research participants could still get into the BBL. Mathew has been extremely helpful in ensuring all my research projects can still run smoothly, including all research visits at BBL or local communities. Steven spent a lot of time ensuring that the ITS Manning teaching room could handle all PhD students’ computer usage. Thank you all for making this transition as painless as possible.

At this time and season, I would like to say that I am extremely appreciative of the significant amount of energy and time required to orchestrate our transition. I know from talking to Philip regularly that there were trying times with so many individual requests about office space and moving “our stuff”. How often did we thank him and Lisa for all that they were doing to make this transition as smooth as possible? Did we think about all of the other collaborations that had to occur during this transition before we could occupy space or have classrooms.? I am eternally grateful for them!

Lisa, you handle so much to keep our SON going and often are unrecognized for all you do. I just want to say thank you for all the support you give to keep the SON moving forward and all the ways you have helped support our community outreaches with the UNC SON Mobile Health Clinic. Thank you and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Lisa is the first that I have ever reported to that will stop what she is working roll up her sleeves and jump in to help the project out, and a hard person to keep up with when she does. She is an inspiration for you to do your best every day. It is an honor and privilege to work with Lisa at School of Nursing, Lisa is the definition of Leading with Light. Thank you always!

Lisa and Charlene – I appreciate their help during the transition to reserve space in ITS Manning for make-up Exams and student meetings.
