Gratitude Spotlight

As we approach the season of gratitude and reflection, we find ourselves compelled to shine a spotlight on the remarkable efforts that have defined our collective journey through the fall building transition. As we express our deepest gratitude, let this page stand as a testament to the strength of our unity and the collective spirit that propels the School of Nursing forward!

Facilities

Grateful to have Phillip and his team during our move. He has been helpful, professional. He has tolerated all the delays, problems, without becoming annoyed (at least that we’ve noticed). We appreciate all he and his team has done. Thank you!

SON IT

Thank you to our wonderful IT staff at the SON for their patience, resourcefulness and quick responses with faculty throughout the year! We could not do much of what we do without your support. Thank you also for your support of innovative technologies for our classrooms and for our students.

The Students

Thank you from your patience, for your flexibility, and for your endurance. I appreciate your feedback and dedication. I know so many of you are navigating a multitude of challenges, but many of you really fight to be in this program. I especially want to highlight the students I have the privilege of working with in the days I occasionally cover SHAC, my clinical groups from this past summer and this fall, and my lab groups from summer and this fall. Y’all made clinical and lab enjoyable and fun. You all were engaged and responsive to feedback. I am proud of you all. While nursing school is naturally challenging, I hope that, in whatever ways I can, I can make it an experience you can enjoy to some extent. Keep up the great work!

EISLE

Dear Darlene Baker, Julie Gunlogson, Carol Durham, and our Graduate Student TAs, Thank you for your amazing leadership, guidance, and work that makes EISLE an educational success. Moving, setting up, and obtaining NC Board of Nursing approval for our new EISLE space in ITS Manning was an incredible feat and I am in awe. Thank you, too, for your steadfast support of those of us who teach in EISLE! It is truly amazing that I can walk in to teach and all of the tools and supplies are in place and ready for me and my students. SO GRATEFUL!!!
