Keynote Speaker

Mauri Williams, RN, MBA/MHA, NE-BC, CSSBB

Mauri Williams serves as Vice President and Chief Nursing Informatics Officer for UNC Health. Williams provides clinical oversight on all information systems that assist nurses and other clinicians in the delivery of optimal patient care, education, and research. She works closely with administrative, clinical, and nursing leaders at each UNC Health Care entity to prioritize requests for the development and optimization of technology, clinical workflows and supports the development of UNC Health Care system-wide policies and procedures.

Ms Williams has more than 40 years of experience in healthcare, nursing management, operations, performance improvement and informatics.  She started her career as a neonatal nurse at UNC Medical Center and progressed into leadership and quality improvement roles. In addition to her system leadership roles, Mauri was appointed to serve on Epic’s (the Verona WI EHR company) Nurse Well-Being Steering Committee.

Ms Williams received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill, followed by a Master of Business Administration and Master of Health Administration from Pfeiffer University.  She is a certified Nurse Executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) through the American Society of Quality (ASQ).

Tickets & Seating

Each student will receive three tickets for guests. Tickets can be transferred between students if needed. Please register below by July 15, 2025.

Faculty Pinning

Students will be pinned by a faculty member only. A list of available faculty is included in the Pinning Ceremony RSVP form.

Navigation & Parking

Visitor parking is available in the Dogwood deck on Manning Drive. The Dogwood deck is three-tenths of a mile past South Columbia Street on the right. Its entrance is on East Drive.

From the parking deck, walk up Manning Drive toward the stoplight at Columbia. UNC Hospitals will be across the street.

Take the steps on the left side of Thurston-Bowles. The Thurston-Bowles building is on the corner of Columbia Street and Manning Drive, on the same side as the parking decks. Both the Neuroscience Research Building and the Medical Biomolecular Research Building (MBRB) are located behind Thurston-Bowles, across the courtyard. 

Dress Code

Students should wear professional attire, such as dress pants, skirts, blouses, button-down shirts, dresses, or suits. Comfortable yet polished shoes are recommended. Guests are encouraged to dress in business casual or semi-formal attire to honor the occasion.
