Have you been trained in Adult Mental Health First Aid?

Together with the Office of Well-being, the Dean’s Pilot Grant team (Drs. LaTonia Clark Chalmer, Shielda Rodgers, and Leslie Sharpe) is excited to announce the “BE WELL: Prioritizing Our Mental Health and Well-being Initiative” to increase the number of SON members trained in Adult Mental Health First Aid.

For our first training, we have space available for 30 participants. This in-person training will take place during two consecutive Wednesdays in April. To be certified as a Mental Health First Aider, attendance on both days (and in their entirety) is required. Prior to attending the in-person training, participants are required to complete two hours of online prep work. Please see below for important information:

Once the list of participants has been confirmed, the UNC School of Social Work Behavioral Health Springboard team will assist with getting participants registered and enrolled for the training.
