Carolina Engagement Week: Mobile Health Clinic Virtual Tour and Panel Discussion

- Virtual - Held via zoom

Carolina Engagement Week is an annual celebration of community, partnerships and collaboration at UNC. The week is co-hosted by Carolina Across 100, the Carolina Center for Public Service, the Carolina Engagement Council, the Center for Thriving Communities, NCGrowth, ncIMPACT and UNC Rural.

Established in 2016, the UNC School of Nursing (SON) Mobile Health Clinic is a nurse-led, free clinic providing health screenings, patient education, and referrals to community resources. The clinic is operated by SON faculty, inter-professional students and community volunteers, addressing gaps in healthcare for vulnerable populations. The Mobile Health Clinic has been awarded the Gold Seal for quality care by the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics.

The upcoming showcase will feature a panel presentation on the clinic’s history, strategic partnerships, outreach initiatives and its measurable impact on community health and students’ learning. The panel discussion will be followed by an optional virtual tour of the clinic and adjacent community resources.
