Ayomide Bankole selected for the Clin-STAR Health Equity Research Scholar Program

Carolina Nursing Postdoctoral Fellow Ayomide Bankole, PhD, RN, has been chosen to participate in the highly competitive Clin-STAR Health Equity Research Scholar Program. Funded by the National Institute of Aging and the American Federation for Aging Research, this program aims to cultivate the next generation of health equity-focused leaders in aging research.

Dr. Bankole joins a select group of nine early career researchers from across the country who are engaged in transdisciplinary studies related to clinically relevant aging research. The program provides crucial support for career development, offering mentorship opportunities to enhance knowledge and leadership skills. It also facilitates scientific exchange among the scholars and fosters a sense of collective identity and cohesiveness within the cohort.
