Cara Winstead named Fellow of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses

Clinical Instructor Cara Winstead, RN, MPH, COHN-S, FAAOHN, has been named a Fellow of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. This prestigious fellowship recognizes exceptional accomplishments in the field of occupational and environmental health nursing, including outstanding contributions to clinical practice, education, research, management, or policy.

With 36 years of experience in manufacturing, corporate, consulting, and hospital occupational health settings, Cara has dedicated her career to providing health and safety programs to workers and worker populations. She has also held leadership positions in her local and state AAOHN chapters and currently serves as the Education Director for her state chapter, overseeing continuing education programs.

As a clinical instructor, Cara is passionate about sharing her expertise with students and has provided public health clinical experiences in occupational health settings. She hopes to inspire more students to explore this rewarding and vital discipline of nursing. Cara’s commitment to the field of occupational health nursing has made her a valuable asset to her profession and to the health and well-being of workers and workplace communities.
