CCNE to Conduct Accreditation Visit at UNC-Chapel Hill SON

Opportunity to Comment on Program

In fall 2011, the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing will seek re-accreditation of the baccalaureate (BSN) and master’s (MSN) degree programs from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). CCNE, which is a national nursing accrediting organization and recognized by the U. S. Secretary of Education, will perform an on-site evaluation of the BSN and MSN programs on November 16-17-18, 2011. As a member of the School’s constituency and community of interest, we invite you to submit comments to CCNE to the address provided below.

We hope you will take this opportunity to comment on the programs’ achievements related to accreditation standards (see http://www.aacn.nche.edu/ccne-accreditation). During the review of the program, the evaluation team considers third party comments that relate to the accreditation standards. CCNE does not share these comments with the organization. Only signed comments will be accepted by CCNE. For comments to be considered they should be received by November 1, 2011.
