Davis appointed member of the AHA/ACC Joint Committee on Clinical Practice Guidelines

Dr. Leslie Davis, FAAN, FAHA, FACC has been appointed a member of the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology (AHA/ACC) Joint Committee on Clinical Practice Guidelines. The joint committee develops and disseminates guidelines for the AHA/ACC and serves as a source of expertise on guidelines for the two organizations. The joint committee provides oversight of all policies and methodological aspects of guideline development in addition to defining strategies for clinical evaluation and optimal management of patients with cardiovascular diseases. Members of the joint committee are assigned as a liaison and writing member guideline update that align with their area of expertise. As an AHA representative to the joint committee, Dr. Davis’ two year appointment began July 1, 2022 with an option for a two year reappointment.
