Davis co-author for 2019 ACC Expert Consensus Decision Pathway for Patients Hospitalized with Heart Failure

Dr. Leslie Davis was a co-author for the recently published 2019 American College of Cardiology (ACC) Expert Consensus Decision Pathway on Risk Assessment, Management, and Clinical Trajectory of Patients Hospitalized with Heart Failure paper.

The paper, published online ahead of print on September 13, 2019, offers algorithms, tables, and templates to help clinicians to better care for patients with heart failure beginning with the first emergency department visit and hospital admission, including the transition to oral therapies, through discharge, and beyond hospital discharge to the first post-discharge phone call and visit to the outpatient provider.

Notably, this is the second ACC Expert Consensus Decision Pathway document that Dr. Davis has helped coauthor (prior one was in 2017 was on the Optimization of Heart Failure Treatment available in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, 2018;71:201–30).
