Congratulations to Professor Carol Durham who received the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning’s (INASCL) “Spirit of Simulation” Leadership Excellence Award today at their 2018 conference held in Toronto, Canada.
The award is given annually to “a visionary and inspiring nurse leader in the INASCL simulation practice community who exemplifies the characteristics of a transformational leader.”
“This award is given to you in recognition of the high regard you have earned from your peers, colleagues, and others who submitted praise-filled comments and a strong letter of support with your INACSL nomination. It is indeed an accomplishment to be singled out by the people you work with and we celebrate this important milestone with you,” said Melissa Leal, MSN, RN, CHSE, the Simulation Director for the Louise and Clay Wood Simulation Center and INASCL representative as she announced the award to Dr. Durham.
Durham, a past president of the INACSL, is a noted international leader in clinical simulation and directs the School’s Education-Innovation-Simulation-Learning Environment, or EISLE.
