“Invest in Nursing: An Educational Redesign to Strengthen the Primary Care Workforce (Invest in Nursing)” will invest in the development of a sustainable primary care nursing workforce to practice in community-based primary care (CBPC) teams in rural and underserved settings. Participants will include baccalaureate nursing students (BSN), currently practicing Registered Nurses (RNs) and nursing faculty. This is an academic-practice partnership with UNC-CH School of Nursing and Piedmont Health Services (PHS),one of North Carolina’s oldest and largestFederallyQualified Health Centers(FQHC).
Function:
The applicant must be interested in being part of a team of faculty and clinical partners and can demonstrate their interest in working with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. students, faculty and partners).
Description of Work:
- Attend monthly project team meetings
- Conduct literature reviews
- Assist with analysis of survey data
- Coordinate and communicate with the IIN Project Team and other SON staff
- Other responsibilities, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, strong communication, and documentation skills.
Requirements:
This position is for a currently enrolled graduate student (Masters or Doctorate). Compensation: $22/hr for ~10 hours/weekand the schedule can be flexible. Students who have interest in and want to gain skills in education research and academic-practice partnerships aligned with their career goals are encouraged to apply (e.g. nursing, public health, education, research).
