Hirschey Published, Funded and Presents

It’s been a busy month for Postdoctoral Research Fellow and incoming faculty member Rachel Hirschey!

Her article “A Program to Enhance Writing Skills for Advanced Practice Nurses” was published in March in The Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing.

She received two small grants: one from STTI’s Alpha Alpha Chapter for her project “Exploration of Multilevel Factors that Influence Nurses Providing Physical Activity Counseling to Cancer Survivors” and one from NC Translational Research Institute for a Stakeholder engagement voucher for her project “African American Cancer Survivor Engagement to Develop a Physical Activity Intervention.”

And last week, she presented two podium presentations at the Oncology Nursing Society’s 44th Annual Congress in Anaheim, CA: a Review of video education in underrepresented minority cancer survivors, and Resources for Oncology Nurses to Provide Physical Activity Recommendations to Cancer Survivors
