Dr. Saif Khairat and Dr. Carl Seashore received the 2019 Innovation Well-Being Pilot Award from the UNC System-Wide Integrated Well-Being Program and Center for Health Innovation.
The use of electronic health records (EHR) directly contributes to physician burnout. Additionally, poor EHR design can affect decision making and cause delays in care, medical errors, and unanticipated patient-safety events. By providing individualized training for physicians struggling with EHR documentation, this project aims to improve EHR use and mitigate EHR-related stressors, decreasing the EHR burden and improving physician well-being.

Congratulations, Dr. Khairat!
