Jennifer Leeman, the principal investigator of the Chapel Hill center of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network(CPCRN), is the guest editor and a contributor to a new supplemental issue of Preventive Medicine. CPCRN is a national network of academic, public health, and community partners who work together to reduce the burden of cancer, especially among those disproportionately affected. This issue highlights the value of a diverse network of institutions and experts focusing on improving cancer care, outcomes, and prevention for rural and under-represented populations.
