The UNC School of Nursing is pleased to announce that RJ Libunao was recently inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa, a national honor society with chapters at more than 300 college campuses across the United States.

Founded in 1914 at Washington and Lee University, Omicron Delta Kappa recognizes achievements in five key areas: scholarship; athletics; campus and community service, social or religious activities, and campus government; journalism, speech, and the mass media; and creative and performing arts.

The East Carolina University (ECU) Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa was established in 1990 and has since initiated more than 600 students, faculty, and staff. Alumni membership began in 1994, and in 2015, the Circle marked its 25th anniversary.

Membership in the ECU Circle is a distinction reserved for individuals who demonstrate leadership, community commitment, academic excellence, and strong character. Nominees must meet a GPA requirement, complete an application, and participate in an interview process.
