
The UNC School of Nursing is proud to announce that Lisa K. Woodley, PhD, MSN-Ed, BSN, CNE, CHPN, has been selected as a 2025 Fellow of the National League for Nursing’s Academy of Nursing Education. This prestigious honor recognizes nurse educators who demonstrate extraordinary leadership, creativity, compassion, and dedication while embodying the mission and values of the NLN.
Dr. Woodley was selected for her visionary leadership in global nursing education, her longstanding commitment to inclusive and innovative teaching, her influential work in faculty development, and her sustained mentorship of nursing students and faculty alike. Over the past 33 years, her contributions in both Canada and the United States have made a lasting impact on nursing education at the local, national, and international levels.
“It’s a true honor to be named a Fellow of the Academy. I’m deeply grateful for this recognition and proud to represent the UNC School of Nursing and our shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and the future of nursing education,” said Dr. Woodley.
