
The UNC School of Nursing proudly announces Miller Williamson as the recipient of the Class of ’56 George T. Livas Award for 2024!
This award was established by friends of George Livas to recognize the most outstanding senior in the School of Nursing. The recipient, chosen by the faculty of the School, is the member of the senior class who best demonstrates scholarship, leadership, and nursing excellence.
Miller Williamson has demonstrated exemplary qualities as a Carolina Nurse, exhibiting leadership and dedication in various roles. From serving as a lab manager and volunteering at SHAC to contributing as a Nursing Assistant at the Emergency Department at Rex, Miller has consistently showcased a commitment to excellence. His proactive approach to combating sepsis through research, advocacy, and awareness initiatives, including participation in World Sepsis Day, reflects his unwavering dedication to nursing excellence.
The recognition of Miller Williamson’s achievements took place at the 2024 Chancellor’s Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, April 23rd, held at the Carolina Union. This annual event celebrates individuals who exemplify excellence in academics, service, and leadership, aligning with the core values of UNC-Chapel Hill.
