The UNC School of Nursing is proud to announce that Taleah Frazier, a second-year PhD student, has been selected to participate in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s (RWJF) Health Policy Research Scholars Program. This program connects changemakers across the country, bringing together professionals from diverse fields to collaborate on creating more equitable and thriving communities.

Taleah was chosen for the Health Policy Research Scholars Program, which is designed for doctoral students from historically marginalized backgrounds and populations underrepresented in specific disciplines. The program helps students from all fields apply their work to policies that advance equity and health, building a diverse network of leaders who reflect our nation’s changing demographics.

As part of the newest cohort, Taleah will focus on integrating research and policy to address stress-related cardiometabolic risk in reproductive-aged African American women.
