The newly formed Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Interest Group held their Discovery Day event on May 21.
Experts from Sonosite attended the event to demonstrate how POCUS can be used by nurses to help their patients. Topics included identifying vascular structures and watching cardiac and OB scans on live models. Soft tissue foreign bodies were identified using simulation materials.
More events are planned throughout the summer.
